Off Your Chest is a site dedicated to making mental health part of everyday conversation, because it’s already part of everyday life.

We know that if you suffer from depression, anxiety, or any other mental illness, it can often feel like you’re on your own. We are here to show you that you’re not.

We want to build a community of people on similar journeys, help share advice, experience, and stories, and show that things can always get better from here.


Off Your Chest was created to share YOUR stories.

We want you to share anything you feel comfortable with. If you think it will spark discussion, help yourself/ the community, or just need to get something off your chest (see what we did there?) then we want to see it. You always have the option of staying anonymous, too.

We accept:

Essays, Reflective Pieces, Advice Columns, Interviews, Creative Work (poetry, photography, short stories, art, etc), and the list goes on!

If you look at the menu, you’ll see some pages you can contribute to. All you have to do is head to the Submit page, fill in the form, and we’ll get back to you! Oh, and if you think you’ve got something new and exciting, send that too!
